Libre Office - Open Source MS Office knock off. If you don't have excel, you can use this instead. 

Visual Studio Code - Just a nice plain text editor. Especially useful for viewing JSON. Has a dark mode so you feel like a hacker.

OBS Studio - Free Screen Recorder. Great for preparing demos, Great for collecting requirements, great for documenting bugs. Power Point also has a screen recorder built into it, so you could use that too.

Visual Studio Community - The free version of Microsoft's flagship IDE. Easily write code in VB.Net, C#, Python, JS, etc.

Postman - Use to test/learn REST/SOAP Api's on the web.
